Vanessa Piazza

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER,

PRESIDENT & OWNER

Named by Hollywood Reporter as one of North America and Canada’s top 30 executives, and highlighted in the Globe and Mail TIFF edition for her film and tv success, Vanessa Piazza has years of creative and financial

producing experience. She has forged a huge network of domestic and

international connections, starting with her work on the international

miniseries XIII, which later became a two-season television series. The

series was a Canada-France co-production involving Canal+, M6,

Showcase, and NBC.

Additionally, Piazza developed and was executive producer on the
groundbreaking hit supernatural series Lost Girl (Showcase/Sony/Syfy/Netflix) which remains a huge franchise with a cult following. Piazza also led the multi-platform campaign for Lost Girl,
running not only the television series, but also a digital platform, mobile
app, live to tape hour-long talk show, and facilitating and moderating
multiple panels at SDCC, the largest Comic Con and pop culture event in
North America.

Most recently, Piazza developed and executive produced the successful
sci-fi series Dark Matter, currently airing in 80 countries across the world.
(NBCU/Syfy/Space/Netflix).


Piazza has worked with top creators/showrunners in the television
business, including Michelle Lovretta (Lost Girl/Killjoys), Emily Andras
(Lost Girl/Wynnona Earp), Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie (Stargate/Dark Matter) and Michael Grassi (Lost Girl/Supergirl/Riverdale). In addition to her television credits, Piazza recently produced the feature film The Other Half starring Tatiana Maslany, in association with Motel Pictures and JoBro Productions.


In 2017 Piazza launched Piazza Entertainment Inc, a film and television/content production company. Piazza's partnerships include a multi-year first look deal with Entertainment One.

Natalie Cooper is a graduate of the University of Toronto whose previous credits include Lost Girl and Dark Matter. With a strong background in literature, English and story editing, and a passion for the comic world, literature, and pop culture, Natalie specializes in seeking out original scripts and IP along with developing high concept ideas for television.
