Montreal, 1995. 19-year-old Eve moves to the city searching for queer community and falls hard for Della, an older activist whose charisma and intensity pull her deep into a world of political idealism, desire, and emotional chaos. Set against the backdrop of the Quebec referendum and riot grrrl culture, Bottle Rocket Hearts is a raw coming-of-age love story about identity, obsession, and finding yourself in the wreckage of another person.
